Nathan Fowkes' gouache studies inspired me to give them a try... you can find his blog in my links section - well worth your time I'd say!

Psa 103:15-17 As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children..."

Eric, it's so nice to see that you are posting again. It's been a while. This gouache study looks quite a bit like Nathan's work.

I love that you put a Psalm with it. Very cool.

Thanks Silvina!

That's quite a compliment... I'm glad you liked the Psalm too - it seemed right.

Well thank you for that DOP... I do like to change things up now and then (actually I go through stages all the time) I'll change styles and media... I learn new things from doing this and it keeps me interested in art making so I continue...

The gouache is great for the quick color sketch and right now "quick" is all I have time for! I'll post a few more shortly... I'm starting to get a "feel" for it.

I'm trying to get "juice" with the gouache...
